What on earth would “road capacity” mean in Bellevue? Widening 9-lane NE 8th St to 11 lanes? Tearing down a bunch of skyscrapers to widen other downtown streets from 5 to 7 lanes? It’s nonsensical even on its own silly terms.
The Bellevue Council is considering a potential 0.1% sales tax and $20 car tab for transportation in a budget work session tonight.
Kemper Development is here asking for those new dollars to be focused on road capacity, calling bike and pedestrian improvements "lower demand infrastructure."
