# DDoSecrets
ddosecrets is a non-profit transparency collective not a hacktivist group, the data was provided to ddosecrets and me by the hacktivist group Department of Peace.

the previous wording could have been easily interpreted to mean DDoSecrets was involved in the procurement of hacked data which is incorrect

also if you wanna run the search tool locally or host it for your newsroom/friends the source code is now available via torrent and on ddosecrets

The last time DDoSecrets make a release that pissed off DHS, the FBI secretly and illegally seized our servers and knocked us offline.

Lessons learned but plz donate donorbox.org/ddosecrets

it also triggers on the ddosecrets . org link: bsky.app/profile/did:...

(and *just* that link, not ddosecrets . org in general)
Yes, Bluesky is censoring the link to the dataset from the DHS hack

Just changed it on the ddosecrets page because no one has time for their selective quotes

So I guess this guy is just lying about what Wikipedia's cited sources (and many other sources easily found online) say about DDoSecrets.

It's incredibly easy to verify that DDoSecrets is a non-profit, including at the first source for the statement that the editor falsely claimed is "unsourced."
