I believe in government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Mike Rogers believes in government of the billionaires, by the corporations, and for the special interests.

The NY Times will publish a hit piece on the Democratic Alaska senate candidate six days before an Election but won't mention a new rape allegation against the President of the United States.

Weird propaganda ad during the World Series calling liberals the *new* racists. If true, aren’t the republicans implying that they’re the OG racists? Like “Yep, we’ve been the racists for the past 400 years. NOW it’s the liberals!”

The Lula election may be the most significant of our time. Brazil will be the vanguard against an even more apocalyptic environmental deterioration. Overjoyed that the Amazon remains steadfast.

Mayor Mamdani and Councilmember Kayla Santosuosso visited the New York Aquarium to meet some seals and celebrate the impact of the administration’s $2 million investment in the aquarium.

there are two kickass parts of episode one: the podrace (yes, it's actually good) and the duel of the fates, which is the best lightsaber fight in the entire series

the rest of the movie is, charitably, bad
This is objectively, verifiably untrue.

The federal judge in Alaska presiding over Trump’s lawsuit challenging the state’s senate race election results has officially fast-tracked it for DISMISSAL.

The ruling opens the door for democrat Mary Peltola (Yupik) to become the first female Indigenous Senator in U.S. history.

A rally outside the White House is demanding that the U.S. end the genocidal blockade on Cuba now!

I can't really believe it but it seems to be the case that the Times has not covered a credible accusation of rape against the President of the United States, but has two solid stories on Obama's cheesecake factory quip.

Did you know we’re below the minimum recommended amount of oil, and just barely above the *statutory minimum* in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve?

Lowest level since 1982, and gas is still through the roof.

the mainstream democrats do not want the republicans to face any consequences because they are on the same team, they are the same people, they are friends and colleages. their job is to occupy the positions of people who could actually oppose the republicans & make sure that never happens
Kamala Harris: I think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea.

I was in the Senate for the last go-round, and the votes aren’t there.

I think after the election, we all have to just also agree that our attitude has to be to get stuff done…

Trump can say "don't seat Democrats" as much as he wants. The new House isn't seated by the old House. The old one ends at noon on 1/3/27, and the next one starts. The first thing the majority party does is elect a Speaker. The old Speaker has literally no role to play.
RAJU: So if Trump says 'Don't seat Democrats,' you'll resist him?

MIKE JOHNSON: I'll do my job as Speaker. The president has vowed of course that he wants to follow the law as well.

Some Lula supporters apparently shouted his name out their window when it was announced he won and a cop pointed his gun at him and they took what is possibly the greatest image of a cop ever taken, like genuinely this would go hard as a cover for a Rage album its so poetic.

Ansari: "The irony I want to point out is you have Trump speaking with the govt of Qatar and getting a multibillion jet. You have his son in law as well as his sons making billion dollar deals with the Saudis. But then here in the US, the way they talk about Muslim Americans & Arabs is disgusting."
