A long exposure at sunset near some rapids. The water is blurry like cotton candy due to the long exposure. Hints of orange and red at the horizon line. The steady rocks that create rapids are at the edges of the photo The Richmond VA skyline as seen from the Belle Isle pedestrian bridge during "blue hour" just before sunrise. Skyscrapers and construction of a new building are visible with the river in the foreground.

Week #5 of 52Frames.
Shifting perspective. I wanted to shake up the classic image of the advertising sign by tilting my framing to give the illusion of lettering on a horizontal surface.

#52frames #52Frames_blue #photography #color #minimalism #abstract #fujifilm
This photograph presents a close-up of a large, bold, yellow sign resting on a blue corrugated metal surface. The perspective is slightly angled, emphasizing the contrast between the vivid blue background and the thick, three-dimensional yellow letters. The composition focuses on the upper portions of the letters, cutting off the rest, which adds an abstract quality to the image. The blue metal surface exhibits a fine, textured pattern of parallel ridges, which catch the light and create subtle reflections. The contrast between the bright yellow letters and the rich blue background is striking, reinforcing the strong visual identity of the subject. The thick block letters, made of a sturdy material, have sharp edges and layered depth, suggesting they are part of a large commercial or industrial sign, possibly on the rooftop of a building. Snow is visible on some edges of the letters, adding an unexpected element to the otherwise structured and geometric scene. The snow’s presence suggests that the sign is outdoors, exposed to the elements, and adds a seasonal context. This image is a study in color, texture, and form. The simplicity of the composition, along with the interplay of light and shadow, creates a visually engaging and almost abstract perspective. The clean, modern aesthetic highlights the boldness of industrial design and signage in an urban environment.

"blue hydrant horizon" - my #52Frames submission for the week 5 challenge "Blue".

#tentwentyeight
It is deep winter here - snow, more snow, and grey clouds. In a brief moment of sun I found a fire hydrant my neighbour had dug out of the snowbank, just in time for the "blue week". For me, the contrasting blue and yellow brought to mind the sky and wheat fields of the Ukrainian flag.

As usual on the weekend, there is also this week's #52frames challenge: "Blue".

Not sure what little #Dummy13 here is seeing, but it seems to be interesting...

#52frames_blue
The image shows a blue action figure with a futuristic, robotic design. The figure is posed dramatically, with one arm extended forward. The outstretched hand features a transparent, possibly interchangeable piece that looks like a weapon or a special hand shape. The head of the figure is angular and lacks any visible facial features. The background is dark but features two vertical rows of glowing orange lights on either side, creating a futuristic atmosphere. Behind them, circular patterns are visible, resembling sci-fi technology or a spaceship setting. The image has a strong science-fiction aesthetic with bright and contrasting colors.
