For this week's #WeddingWednesday we have this 1870-3 day dress, worn either at the ceremony as her going away outfit. It's made of silk dyed with aniline, still a fairly new technology at the time. Weddings took place in the morning, hence the long sleeves and high neckline. #Fashionhistory
