Bedfordshire Burnt #orchids for this week's #WildflowerHour challenge - #WildFlowerShow 🙂
They're quite a lot smaller than last year, probably because it's been so dry. Still absolutely stunning, though!

The Columbines are putting on a spectacular #WildFlowerShow at Bedford Purlieus NNR, one of their truly native sites.
Not quite as good as in 1884 when Rev Berkeley reported that after coppicing the 'whole land is sometimes blue with ...Columbine'.

The Bird’s-foot Trefoil, Lotus corniculatus was looking absolutely spectacular on my walk yesterday! It was impossible to take a photo without a bee! This plant supports 130 invertebrate species so for me it’s definitely worthy of best in show for this week’s #WildflowerShow #Wildflowerhour
