You know why women still don't have equality in America?

Because that's exactly how Republicans want it.

Today we celebrate the women who organized and mobilized for the right to vote - and WON.

On #WomensEqualityDay, I’m inspired by those women who demanded their voices be heard at the ballot box back then - and the women who make our workforce run today.

On #WomensEqualityDay, we honor the women who fought for the 19th amendment and every step towards equality since.

While the GOP wage war on women’s rights, Illinois Dems will always fight to protect them.

✅ Protected abortion access

✅ Advanced equal pay

✅ Strengthened reproductive care

The 19th Amendment guaranteed voting rights on paper in 1920, but the fight for true equal access didn't end there. Progress is real, yet still unfinished. We must keep organizing to protect democracy and close the gap for EVERY woman.

My grandmother was a girl when women won the right to vote in 1920.

When you think of it generationally, it really wasn't that long ago

Stay diligant or women might have that right stripped away from them before we know it

No. Really!

Today we celebrate #WomensEqualityDay in commemoration of the 105th anniversary of women winning the right to vote in all U.S. Elections.

It's hard to believe we are less than two lifetimes away from a time when women could not exercise this basic democratic right.

On #WomensEqualityDay we honor the women who struggled hard & long to win the right to vote.

Because of them, our democracy includes our voices – and that makes our country stronger.

On #WomensEqualityDay, America’s unions celebrate the anniversary of women winning the right to vote after decades of organizing. The labor movement is committed to the fight to make sure women secure real equality—and the best way to do that is through a union contract.

Happy Women’s Equality Day.

Are you feeling ‘equal’ yet?
I don’t. We’ve lost the rights to our own bodies, and they’re coming for our right to vote!

Fight back, dammit! ✊🏻🔥

Every young woman deserves to grow up in a world where they know they'll be treated equally and with the respect they deserve. Let's do the work to make Kentucky and the entire world better for the generations of women to come. #womensequalityday

Women did not wait for the right to vote—they organized, demonstrated and made history.

On #WomensEqualityDay, we honor their courage by fighting to defeat Trump’s dangerous SAVE America Act, legislation that threatens to rob nearly 70 million married women of their voice.

#History Reminder: Women’s equality was never given—it was fought for.

106 years after the 19th Amendment, we honor the women who organized, protested, persevered, and refused to give up.

Keep fighting. Keep organizing. Keep moving forward. #WomensEqualityDay

When the 19th Amendment was adopted into the U.S. Constitution 106 years ago today, granting women the right to vote, a future of inclusion became possible. We celebrate the women who paved the way and uplift those who continue to break ceilings every day. 💪 #WomensEqualityDay

#WomensEqualityDay

I think of my grandmother (born in 1898) and my mom (1930) and now my sisters and me (1950-60s) and my daughters (1980s). I marvel at the improvements for women's lives, and the incredible strength of women who fought for them.

We're not stopping now. No matter what.

#OTD, we recognize Women’s Equality Day, marking adoption of the 19th Amendment and a major milestone for women’s voting rights.

But many women of color remained blocked from the ballot. We honor those who continued the fight for equal voting access.
