Here are the top-selling comics for August 2026. Some of the month-over-month drops include Absolute Catwoman, which fell to 6th; Queen in Black, diving to 14th; Daredevil, dropping to 8th; and Avengers: Armageddon, falling out of the top 10 and landing at number 12. The top 5 comics sold were: Marvel's latest entry, Miles Morales: Spider-Man #1. This all-new series, written by Cody Ziglar with art by Valentine De Landro, sees Spider-Man battling a vengeful villain from Miles' father's past, with S.H.I.E.L.D. threatening to destroy not only Spider-Man—but the entire Morales family! Coming in 4th place and up 5 spots from last month is Absolute Superman #22, where the "Get Brainiac" storyline begins. But before Superman can get his hands on Brainiac, he will have to go through Metallo, a man with Kryptonite in his veins. In 3rd place and down 1 spot is Absolute Green Arrow #4 (of 6). This issue debuts the first appearance of a new Absolute take on a classic DC character: Solomon Grundy. Up a staggering 12 spots this month is Batman #12. Issue #11 appeared to sell poorly only due to the way in which sales are reported per week. In this issue, six of the world's deadliest killers have descended on Gotham City at once—but who hired them, and who's the target? Plus, the late Alfred Pennyworth provides a gift from beyond the grave with the arrival of a brilliant new ally to the Bat-Family at a time when it needs one most. The top-selling comic for August is once again Absolute Batman. Issue #23 features a climactic showdown, as Batman is forced to battle an unyielding enemy in not just the Robins, but in himself. More than one dead character signals a call for help... and a symbol of hopelessness as more friends become enemies. Those were the top-selling comics of August 2026. What did you pick up?
