I painted my first 1/144 scale Gundam pilot and OH BOY was it a challenge

They're so spindly compared to Warhammer minis but it was still so fun to try and paint it as best I could!!

And honestly I don't think I did TOO badly at all considering 👀

I think Zetas (and their ilk) are becoming my favorite MSes.

Just a bit of colour-customizing on this kit, but also some new (to me) techniques.

First is using graphite powder to do gun metal. Messy as hell, but works well. Still need to refine my approach.

Two EG RX-78-2. One is painted in the trans pride flag colors (predominantly white with blue and pink accents) and the other is painted in Bisexual pride flag colors (predominantly white with pink, purple, and blue accents). The shields are painted in gradients to look like their respective pride flags.

Mechs is crabs? He thought I'd gone off the deep end, until I started breaking it down for him; cracking open the shell if you will. Sure enough he can draw mechs just fine now.

This was a heck of a project 🥹 I’m a bit regretful about adding a glossy topcoat as I think it did something to the pink on one of his shins to remove bits of it 🫤 Overall though? Super-proud! 🩵🤍🩷 #gunpla #ガンプラ
