For every person initiating PrEP since 2012 there have been 3 new HIV acquisitions. Data from Africa shows that 26 million people need to be on PrEP to avert 250,000 infections.
We need to do so much better!

For every person initiating PrEP since 2012 there have been 3 new HIV acquisitions. Data from Africa shows that 26 million people need to be on PrEP to avert 250,000 infections.

That said, use of pejorative language needs to stop. It’s redundant, completely avoidable, & exhausting to encounter—esp on a poster.
For instance, “HIV INFECTED” could have been dropped entirely & the title shortened to PEOPLE LIVING WITH ADVANCED HIV DISEASE.

Biktarvy better tolerated wrt GI Sx but I wonder if this was sufficiently powered and, if difference was real, why it was not evident at W12 too?
