New #legorunbuddy she has light purple trousers, dark purple top that says runbuddy, blue hair and her own black cat! She is stood on platform for zip slide at the park with my can of diet coke behind her and parkrun equipment behind. Plus a bag full of crisps that a fellow volunteer had sourced for small as they are the only ones he will eat and my local shops had run out. Garmin stats for August.. showing 157.1 km which obviously i really need to round up to 160.8 to make 100 miles...

Compilation photo of the knitted? Deciration on top of the post box. It is knitted scene of the nursery rhyme little miss muffet. There is also a pond with a frog, a tree with an owl in it. A small mouse, some toadstools, a hedgehog and of course the spider. I LOVE that someone is taking the time to do these, they make may day. Picture from Marshall point 3 looking towards Marshall point 4, you can see a runner and some Marshalls. Behind them on the embankment a train is going past. Love that we have trains to wave at, we also know if start on time by the trains 😂 Selfie, standing at Marshall point 3. Am wearing my high vis vest, parkrun lanyard and a Lucy and yak bumbag. Its in someones front garden, I probably looked a bit weird leaning over their wall to take a picture.

Alexandra Park rewilding project We are creating a wet woodland and new reedbed to reduce flooding and provide a better habitat for birds, plants and wetland wildlife! The woods are now dense and cast deep shade, the water is stagnant in this area. We plan to create a healthy, wet woodland in this area by: * Removing selected trees to let in the light and allow the creation of a new curvy water channel. Trees will be selected for removal if they are diseased or have a likelihood of becoming dangerous in the near future * Digging out new pools to hold water, creating new aquatic habitat and reducing flows into the sewer system during peak flows In the upper woodland we will reduce winter flooding by: * Digging out and guiding the channels in the woods to divert the water away from paths * Repairing the pipe under the path to the pond area Less than 20 years ago this woodland was quite sparse and there were very few trees along the reservoir boundary. The project is part of our charity's ongoing work to improve the Park and Palace and become a sustainable home for all that we do. It is made possible thanks to £50,000 of funding from the Mayor of London. When? Ground and environmental surveys have been carried out, and work onsite will take place in winter 2024, with completion by March 2025. We aim to minimise disruption, though there may be some short-term diversions onto temporary trackway. We do not intend to close the path entirely. Future More funding will be required for a second phase to restore the existing conservation pond and extend it to create a reedbed. Reedbeds are scarce in London and ours will form a valuable new habitat for the Park. SUPPORTED BY MAYOR OF LONDON A path through a park on a grey winter morning. I’m on the injury bench so no running for me this week - I normally run junior parkrun with my kids and it was just so lovely today to see them go round together helping each other along. I think they were quicker without me too! 😆

Misty kitten again, on dining room table inspecting the new pizza cutter. Its a yellow bike! The wheels are the pizza slicers and it has a little stand. Not sure if Misty is impressed or not.

Celebrations at junior parkrun as our awesome ED has reached 250 volunteer sessions. Then a meal out with family. Small & no 2 getting competitive with Uno. There was definitely some tweaking of the rules 😂 #parkrun #juniorparkrun #highvisheroes #cake #treat #uno #family
