So I went to my first IPMS show today and placed 2nd in Sci-Fi with my Orca from @pipermakes.bsky.social and 1st in Gunpla with my Sinanju Encarmine builds. Also every single guy there was dressed like that Corvette owners meme (Except me I was wearing long pant)

The mech is blue with small white, yellow and red accents, it is accompanied by two black and white drones on a diorama base representing a ruined T'au outpost.

Now THIS one is for the Sartha Thraces out there! I hope what I cooked is good enough for you (y'all?)

And that’s the RG Gundam Epyon done!

Water slides, metallics, and topcoat pretty much took me all day. There were lots of tiny ones that challenged me even with my magnifying reading glasses. 😅 But again, I love doing them, so it’s all good.

Anyway, hope you like it! 😊

Fully painted Theaboros from #WARHOUND by @kallidorarho.bsky.social!!

Tried out a lot of new things for this one, especially with regards to subject matter and kitbashing. Pretty happy with it in the end though.

At some point I have to wonder if this should even be called a mini anymore /j

Imperial Genetor from #WARHOUND by @kallidorarho.bsky.social all painted! It's a challenge making a black color scheme look interesting, but I hope this'll do.

#MiniaturePainting #Mecha #Mechsploitation #Plamo #Kitbash

It's loaded with twin miniguns and AA missiles on the back) from Warhound View of the shield, showing an insignia of a dog on a leash. Gecko variant appreciation post.
(and a reminder that if you like them, you can commission your own. This would be particularly appreciated in these trying times)
#miniaturepainting #plamo #metalgear
A walker with a small, tank-like body on large, organic-looking legs. It has a cannon attached to its shoulder, and "Rosemary" written in yellow on its thigh. Another similar walker - slouching, with little arms. A large cannon is a continuation of its body. Its armour is painted in darker shade of desert camouflage, and there's large white numbers saying 272 on its thigh. Yet another variant based on the same body. This one has two cannons at the shoulders, and it walks on four mantis-like legs. Organic parts are black, and the armour is dark green. And the final one - a hound-shaped mech, with glowing collar and a leather-clad Handler.

The cutest mech I ever made.

(featuring a scratchbuilt rotary cannon and an original sculpt for the pilot)

#miniatures
A large white ball on short legs. It has a door in the front open (down), with a pilot sitting there. The nearest leg has pink stripes on it. View from the opposite side, showing a three-barrel rotary cannon. It has a massive ammunition drum behind it and a belt running around. There is a pink line on the concrete floor. View from the back. The ball is largely white.

Meet Metal Gear Foxhound - a small, piloted mech, relying on direct commands from the outside operator to function.

Discovering the Gecko changed my approach to building mechs forever.
And now, WARHOUND.
#miniaturepainting #plamo #grimdark
A sitting mech with a forward-facing long head, wearing a glowing collar. The armour is light-brown, with dark and light spots of camo. The organic-looking limbs beneath are black. Next to the robot, a blonde woman in a black leather coat. Side view. The mech is covered with warning signs, including "do not pet". Its personal name, Ancyor, is written on its thigh armour in Ancient Greek. Its hands are completely covered in something that looks like blood. View from the back.

Now this one's for Sartha Thrace, Sartha Thrace, and Sartha... Thrace...?

Oh geez there's a lot of you.

So I cooked up Ancyor from #WARHOUND in mini form this time! It's very roughly in scale with Theaboros, I think, barely.

I built a #gunpla that I bought here in Japan… while in Japan! And it’s Japan-themed! I felt like I had to.

I definitely wanted to build at least one kit here, and I settled on a nice entry grade - a special Ukiyo-e themed RX-78-2!

My very first Gundam Artifact kit.
And of course, I couldn't resist kitbashing it.
It is now Genetor from @kallidorarho.bsky.social WARHOUND, the most underappreciated mech over there.

Colours inspired by Aldnoah Zero (I hate the show, but love the colours).
Sartha pinup painted over a decal.
A heavy mech sliding down a concrete ramp. It is pale khaki, with dark orange shin guards and glowing blue lights. It has a massive shield with a pinup painting of a half-naked blonde woman riding a stylized bomb. The woman is wearing a brown military jacket, heavy boots, and a dog muzzle. View from the right. The right hand is holding a relatively small chain axe. View from the back. Not much here. A size comparison photo with a weird ruin in the back. The mech is about 6 storeys tall, and about as wide.

View from the other side - this, left shoulder is painted red.
