Marilyn Monroe, born 99 years ago today.

When Ella Fitzgerald couldn’t get booked at the Mocambo Club because she was Black, Monroe (at the height of her own fame) called the owner and told him if he booked Ella, she would take a front table every night.

And she did.

This is my Gramps. He passed on Sunday peacefully in his sleep. I’m heading home to Seattle next week to be with #Family.

I’m absolutely heartbroken. I understand he was 93, but I absolutely loved my grandpa. It’s going to be so different without him.

Send hugs and good vibes.

The movie ends, Rob stands up, and Frank braces himself for the double-barreled shotgun blast. Rob walks up, tears all over his face, and says, quietly, "It's the best film Castle Rock has ever released. Good work." And then he left.

Class. Fucking. Act.
