not really a fan of how religion (albeit fictional) is kind of made the villain in 靡言 but i’ll see how it goes. the mc is so critical of the cenglu people and its religion, and it feels like he’s forcing his atheist values onto the reader sometimes (but ofc the comments agree with him)

The world building and set up was quite interesting but I found it heavily relying on exposition, telling rather than showing.
I think 靡言 and 不对付 were so compellingly written that it's hard not to compare and contrast.

Conclusion: the more toxic the 骨科, the better (for me)🤭

Okay unpopular opinion but... I actually really like 希哥's 摩川 in the audiobook 🥹
I think 北哥's voice does fit the role here but 文森 hasn't said too many lines (his character doesn't really speak that much either) but imho his voice is a bit too "modern" for a lack of better word 就没有脱俗感

Okay unpopular opinion but... I actually really like 希哥's 摩川 in the audiobook 🥹

somehow last night, after so many months of drowning myself in work and not having the time nor mood to read, i started reading hui nanque's 靡言 juuuuuust before bed and uh, let's just say it felt like i returned to my danmei era wherein i pulled an all nighter to finish a novel 😭😂😭😭😭
