If you read my feeds I couldn't be more adamant about decarb urgency, however we need to also need to understand different conditions. It's also about trying to find pathways that can work in all places. Many houses have 100amp panel. How do we put EV, ASHP +aux w/o 200amp panel, it's 7k upgrade.

No problem if you have 200amp service. If you're on 100amp, it takes a bit more planning.

This whole pedantic current vs voltage stuff is so annoying as an electronics tech. I test 100Amp 70V power supplies regularly. I will put my finger on the power transistors at +70V during testing to recertify them to go in service to see that any of them aren't getting hot.

The bus has power! It's been months of research, buying parts, and slowly connecting things together.

I have 200ah of #battleborn batteries going to a 3000w #victron inverter, which goes to a 100amp panel, which has one 15amp outlet powering a lamp and … http://bit.ly/2EW2MCJ

High powered equipment is always more efficient at 220v vs 120v.
100amp may work in a tiny home.
My house has 200 amps and it is almost maxed out.
Switching back to electric hot water will max it out.

You can charge from 120v, but it's very slow. I put in a 100amp circuit for the Ford chargestation pro, which comes with my trim level. The chargestation is required to take advantage of the dual onboard chargers

When we had our charger put in, the electric guy had to change our main fuse — *down* to an 80amp from a 100amp. (The 100amp looked to be the original installed when the house was built in the 50s). The capacity is there!

This entire apt. Gets 80 amps. The electric literally company cannot service every single apt upgrading to 100amp service (There's 60+)

Building an robot / RC car. I burned out my motor controller. Any recommendations on a 12v 100amp brushed controller? https://www.reddit.com/r/robotics/comments/1krcnht/building_an_robot_rc_car_i_burned_out_my_motor/submitted by /u/VinnProject [link] [comments](Feed generated with FetchRSS)

Even older SFH have issues if they are only on 100amp service. Dryer/Oven/HVAV not throw in a charger.

I have a home w/ a 100amp panel. When I was installing an EV charger I thought I'd need to upgrade to 200 amps but it turns out, no, I don't! I installed a whole-house battery instead which reduced my grid usage and split the circuit so the car charges on-grid (60amp) while the house is on-battery.
