Let's be real here, Video creation was very expensive and was losing money at an even faster rate than text. Look at what they were trying to charge on the API side spoke volumes on how much this tool was not going to make money.

to use for its shadows. So, with a 2048p shadow atlas, a quadrant is 1024p. With a subdivision of 4 that means there are now four 512p slots in that quadrant. Another subdivision and we have 16 128p slots. Thank you everyone for coming, I done did messed up. Anyway we got better shadow settings now.

I believe when I first played Doom 3, flatscreen monitors used to be LCDs with awful viewing angles and 40+ ns response time (either that or 1000+ $ USD pricetag), so I had no choice but to play on the Trinitron.
Naturally, I couldn't max out the max FPS (160@1024p) or resolution (1536p) of the CRT.

Found a way to record the output of Steam Link that will be used to send video to the Steam Frame. Foveated resolution here is 1024p. Eye tracking is excellent. Ignore the dumb wave #steamframe

My dumb ass just discovered there were two options in FFXIV that I'd left on Normal instead of High. Shadow Resolution was on 1024p, and HBAO+ was on Balanced.
... Now they're on 2048p and HBAO+ Quality and it gave just a little extra visual quality.
