To fully defer capital gains via 1031: The replacement property's value must be equal to or greater than the sold property's value. You must also reinvest all the net cash proceeds and replace any mortgage/debt that was paid off (or add equivalent cash). #1031Rules #TaxDeferral #RealEstateFinance
