Berlin-based Nomerra has secured $2 million in a significant pre-seed funding round, aiming to revolutionize private-market operations with AI. The company intends to make these operations AI-native for asset servicers and asset managers. This funding round was notably led by 14Peaks Capital, with contributions from Redstone Fintech and prominent individuals from KKR and Intapp. Nomerra's founders, Johannes Gebendorfer and Jakob Zacherl, previously worked at the well-funded fund-operations platform bunch. They are now entering the same market as their former employer. The company's strategy addresses a growing disparity: private-market assets are projected to surge, while the availability of qualified accountants is declining. Nomerra's focus is on automating high-volume, manual tasks such as fund accounting, treasury, and transfer agency operations. Their AI agents integrate with existing systems rather than replacing them entirely. The company faces competition from established players and the challenge of achieving perfect accuracy in a highly regulated field. Nomerra's AI solution aims to provide a structural fix for the industry's increasing operational demands.

Nomerra has closed a $2 million seed round to automate the fragmented, manual workflows still dominating private markets. Backed by 14Peaks Capital, Redstone Fintech, and veterans from KKR and Intapp, the startup targets fund accounting, treasury, and transfer agency with AI-native tooling.
