#1962s
Just spit balling here but Krasnov hinting at a surprise for midterms, Rubio/Kegseth obsession with Cuba, the recent request for medical triage units to be deployed within weeks. Are we about to repeat 1962s Operation Northwoods to boost R turnout?
Thom Hartmann may be on to something here.
Would Another 9/11 Be Trump’s Ultimate October Surprise?
On Monday night in Grand Island, Nebraska, Donald Trump was trying to convince a tiny rally crowd to vote Republican when, as he is wont to do, he wandered off-prompter into a riff about what Iran…

“Headsome” (2013) - In this movie a scientist keeps the severed head of his identical twin alive eventually killing for a replacement body which is incredibly similar to the plot of 1962s "The Brain That Wouldn't Die", which is odd.

There are villains worse than Max Cady in my next pick for my 200 favorite #Movies, 1962s Cape Fear, but not much worse. Di Niro almost seemed like a 60s Batman villain. Mitchum played him like a guy just doing what he does. Pecks character just got in the way. @calamityjane516.bsky.social #filmsky

Continuing my week of watching black & white movies. Tonight's film is 1962s The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. From director John Ford and starring James Stewart John Wayne and Vera Miles. Also featuring Lee Marvin, Lee Van Cleef and Denver Pyle in the cast.

Last week I watched only films from the 80s. This weeks theme....I'm going to watch only black & white films. It'll be great to unearth gems I've not seen & revisit some classics. First up is a 1st time viewing for me. 1962s Birdman of Alcatraz which I have found on Tubi

For tonight's musical interlude, a song featured in Ms. Fisher's Modern S2E4, A Killer Unleashed. From 1962s, here's The Charmaines asking, "Where is the Boy Tonight?"

Bond. James Bond.

That intro alone launched an entire franchise. Love him or hate him, Bond is here to stay. And while I like all the actors that play him, there is only one to BE him. At #14 on my 101 favorite #movies list is the one that started it all: 1962s Dr. No with Sean Connery #filmsky

I would get sworn in on Star Trek Stellar Cartography, maybe 1962s Reason and Emotion in Psychotherapy (there’s one chapter that , although entirely out of date, changed my life)
I would get sworn in on my first edition Silmarillion
I would get sworn in on a copy of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

From Dr. No’s laboratory to the tarantula room, Sir Ken Adam really set the tone with his work on 1962s #JamesBond film DR. NO. But what’s your favourite Adam’s design from Bonds first outing?

2. Still think Quatermass 2 is the best, but this is more creative, I like how Kneale took part of the premise and flipped it for 1962s The Road ( also sadly wiped).

There are few directors who have had more influence than Alfred Hitchcock. Though he did NOT direct my #88 pick on my 101 favorite #Movies, 1962s Cape Fear, you can feel his influence all over it. In fact it’s often referred to as “the greatest #Hitchcock film Hitchcock didn’t direct.” #filmsky

Inland Empire (2006) Dir- David Lynch

The horror is the men women meet along the way. Lynch was living his best life when he was looking at breasts. Here an actress shows her breasts then does a dance to 1962s “The Loco-Motion”, & even still, Lynch lenses it as horror. Fucking legend.

It’s funny I’ve been watching more Chinese stuff for language reasons, hearing it is helping me recall vocab I used to know. I also told my buddy in China that I like cdramas, I think he’s going to be surprised when he finds out it’s like 1963s the love eterne or 1962s dream of the red chamber

It’s sad that my #8 pick on my 101 favorite #movies is still relevant today. At #8 it’s 1962s To Kill A Mockingbird. Gregory Peck as Atticus has to be one of the best performances ever.

Dir. Robert Mulligan

Starring Gregory Peck, Mary Badham, Phillip Alford, Brock Peters, Robert Duvall #filmsky

Watching 1962s 'Jack The Giant Killer', last seen as an 7 yr old in 1974. Christ, the creatures milling around in Pendragons castle are truly the stuff of nightmares. Horrific! Screw yer flying monkeys in 'Wizard of Oz', these things are scary af. They terrified me back then..

reviewing 1960s witchcraft movies for reasons and reminded the plot of 1962s Night of the Eagle (burn witch burn in the US) is a story of a magic duel between wives to ensure their husbands get professional advancement in academia

love it

I had written this for Day2 of my calculus class (day one was more fun and games).
Not necessarily focused on mistakes, but a rough summary of (most? many?) of the required background skills for the class.
