I normally reserve judgment on the subjects I document. I am going to make an exception this time and come out and say it-

Howling II is a bad movie.

A troubled and compromised production, Howling II is a prime example of a director doing his best with the cards he's been dealt. The stories of the making of this film are better than the actual movie. The final result, however, is a enduring trash trimuph floating admid the sea of 1980s horror schlock. It has to be seen to be believed.

That out of the way,

Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2025, Howling II gets the top spot this spooky season for two reasons-

The dominating Sybil Danning as "Stribra, Werewolf Bitch!", in her Leather and metal fetishwear masterpiece

And

Stribra's coven of pansexual, leather-wearing, orgy-engaging, BDSM werewolf witches!

There's the requisite bondage scenes -but- Stirba keeps a kinky castle so there's also D/s rituals and whipping along with the aforementioned orgies and wearing of leather (and you'd have to watch the movie to see it all)

The flick also features cinema's first werewolf threesome

I don't know why they decided to release this send-up of classic monster movies a week after Halloween. I'm going to post this one early as it really belongs in spooky season.

Mostly forgotten, Transylvania 6-5000 is best known today for Geena Davis as a hypersexual vampire fetishist wearing vampire fetshwear.

What homage to spooky cinema would be complete without a dungeon scene, in this case Ms Davis chained to a wall menacing* Ed Begley Jr strapped to a table.

*(and by menacing I mean trying to get into his pants)
