A particular photo of Jackson wearing a latex ensemble with her nipple piercing peering through an opening gained notoriety for its explicit nature. The photo also shows Jackson pricking her body with an ice pick.” (Wikipedia) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Velvet_Rope Some of the photos were featured on the Album booklet pages Magazines promoting the album also used the photos. The BDSM element of the album would also be a talking point Then there is the actual content of the record [The album] “encompasses themes of sexuality, including BDSM, sexual orientation, and same-sex relationships. Due to its sexually explicit content, the album reinforced Jackson’s public image as a sex symbol and as one of the most erotic vocalists of the 1990s. Its incorporation of social issues regarding sexual orientation and combating homophobia... Box art, SiN (videogames, 1998-2020) . Cyberweek! 7 days where Techno-fetishists take center stage "Sin (stylized as SiN) is a first-person shooter video game developed by Ritual Entertainment and published by Activision in 1998. It uses a modified version of the Quake II engine. Sin is set in the dystopian future of 2037" (Wikipedia) ..."set in a cyberpunk 2037, where tough police colonel, John R. Blade, of HardCorps squad goes after the criminal mastermind, Elexis Sinclaire, who plans to take over the crime-ridden city of Freeport." (IMDB) A future where women running around in latex and leather fetishwear is normal, I guess? Over the next 20+ years the game would get multiple additions, reboots, relaunches and crossovers into other media with an animated movie and a music album. Models in latex were hired for promotional photos and appearances... Synnett (left) and Bianca Beauchamp (right) dressed as SiN Episodes' video game characters, "Jessica Cannon" and "Elexis Sinclaire" for the official video game's website) ...but that will get its own entry Apparently the 2006 relaunch of the game was going to have nudity but they chickened out before release. This video of the beginning of the game intro has a nude scene 3 minutes in, so I guess it's from the pre-release version? https://youtu.be/2kHfVjpedWw?si=kxCNFYs5D256rZsa Game history SiN the video game was originally released on November 4, 1998. Reloaded(?) version released March 2020. https://www.mobygames.com/game/22457/sin-episodes-emergence/promo/ #KinkInPopCulture #kink #bdsm #fetish #latex #FetishWear #SiN #VideoGames #1998ce #1990s #Cyberweek
