This morning there was a cloudless path from coast to coast, that is a hypothetical plane could fly +2000miles without going over a cloud.
Not sure how often it is , but I think (base on my satellite observational experience) that it is not too often.

I can say it’s been fun working in shipping logistics during a fuel crisis. Customers are very aware of gas prices until it comes to the fuel surcharge on an expedited shipment traveling over 2000miles across the continental U S.
Granted this is for lightbulbs so the price is insane either way.

Pretty funny that 40-odd years ago I had the foresight to hide a buncha caches of $200 gold and C notes and Steyr GBs and ammo but (and heres the funny part) not anticipatin that Id get old and feeble or that Id be shipwrecked 2000miles east or worst of all that Id forget.
