No 200cc or opposite direction track racing at least on launch seems really unfortunate for mkworld. I feel like 200cc in particular looks way more fun for this game then mk8 so I'm unsure why its left out early if their still debating things.

By using a Mushroom at an unfortunate angle in 200cc mode on the GBA Mario Circuit track in Mario Kart 8/Deluxe, it is possible to land in one of the tires decorating the course. The tire is inescapable, forcing the player to lose the race.

People who can't play Mario Kart without 200cc are boring, 200cc wasn't even all that anyway. It's fun sometimes but I could never see it being the only way I play these games.
