Can understand the frustration. But in terms of risk, I am more frustrated our 8yo can't walk 200metres to school unsupervised because of the 5,000 drivers driving along our adjacent unclassified, residential street every day.

Actually, I'm now quite happy that there's no longer a bank of cannibalised 1960's mercury arc rectifiers operating 24/7, 200metres behind my rear fence. They all got replaced with more modern thyristors circa 2012.

For last couple yrs youngest (10 & 12) go to the park to play. It's 200metres away. The 'cow pat' field is 400metres away and has a small wood at the bottom with a shallow stream. Occasionally they travel into town with their older sister who is 17. A hell of a lot don't have that level of freedom.

And repeatedly. Also, unless your room is huuuuugge, I'm guessing it's not more than 200metres. I got it bcs I can't walk that far when I have sleep inertia, but I can, just about, cross the room, so this doesn't sound right or consistent to me.

It's about 80 miles away, but my nearest is 200metres away. As you're already going so far, why not drive the extra 1½ hours & pop in for tea😎

We live on a skinny peninsula with inlet one side & ocean the other about 200metres plus have several ponds. Fingers crossed 🤞 they’ll like it here

Day 2 in the Perhentian islands. We did a trash pick. We got 200metres before the bag was overflowing. If you think plastic isn't a problem I'd ask you to think again. Petrochem/plastics producers I am sure are doing a really good job of running interference....

I also do stuff like this, because I live about 200metres from the beach. I collect all the sea glass & broken china, and the driftwood. I have to bleach the wood overnight then oven dry it for hours, because it’s often kinda grim 😁

I very much question this list from a sustainability and transport perspective. How are London and New York at the top? I live in London (zone 2) - our 7yo can’t even walk the 200metres to school on his own because road danger is so high & there are no crossings
