Even thought it's supposed to be an honor to host the tournament,
and it's my favorite sport on the planet,
I am fully in favor of whatever country wants to boycott the 2026WC because of...
you know...

Considering FIFA's DEI message and policy & that Trump/Musk is destroying DEI in America
Considering visitors to US are being detained, deported what could happen to football fans
FIFA should strip US out of 2026WC and Club WC this year
They won't
Infantino is a dictators best friend

I just applied for Canada v Switzerland game in Vancouver. It's cheaper to fly to YVR for that game than to get tickets for the Toronto game where I live! But I will need to sleep in Stanley Park. Will figure that out later if I get tkts #2026WC

I've been to so many Canada games over the years in Toronto and paid $50 for supporter tkts. FIFA wants $1,300 for those same seats for CA's first game. I hope Infantino ends up in jail one day. With his orange buddy. #2026WC

OK, now looking like Canada plays winner of Italy, N. Ireland, Wales, Bosnia, June 12 in Toronto. Could be a tough start for Canada. But we're ready! #2026WC
Let's go Canada!

The fact that it doesn’t understand that the 2027WWC actually exists as it’s own tournament and “thinks” that it is just another of talking about the 2026WC is insane.
And this is what they keep pushing before you get to read anything else.

I'm not sure that's strictly comparable. A lot of those entries into Qatar will have been from next door (Saudi), whereas with the 2026WC both countries that border the US are also hosting. The entries into the US will need to be from much further away (Europe, Asia, S. America).

The simulated bracket at the moment according to my model (which has been shite so far). I hate that #FIFA inflates the tournament and then creates clashes like 🇫🇷 France vs 🇩🇪 Germany in the round of fucking 16.

You couldn't make it up!
Any team with integrity would not play any red card player! 🤔 wonder what the US team will do.
As stated, this does undermine the whole 2026WC competition.
Now my money is on the US to win the world cup bigly.

One side effect of the #2026WC for me is that it highlights my worry for the future of music. I know it's the US, but anecdotally the Hydration Break, HT, etc music seems to be Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, GunsnRoses, etc.
Streaming algorithms seem to have stymied any musical talent from the last 30 yrs!
