Lastly, here's a clip from my sync of RODAN's French dub, which, mercifully, unlike its German and Italian brethren, survived into the home video era in its original, directly King Bros. cut-derived form, complete with the prologue and many other bits that the Italo-German version(s) excise.

normal frame speed is 24fps. the elongation is because the plane was faster than 24fps and it's taking up multiple frames .. similar to helicopter blades that are stopped at a certain RPM, only the opposite of that

Mine's only 60 so there's no even divisor, maybe that's why I'm seeing weird pacing

the stop motion is photographed at 24fps, cinema projectors/ streaming usually project/render at 30. so you already get at least 6 double frames per second at base.
and the VFX (which can not be done in stop motion) are rendered at 60fps and then matched down.
