The entire building has to be draped in orange netting to prevent debris from falling. The entire west side was ripped away by the collapse. The still burning pile of 2WTC reached halfway up the 40 story building.

I worked there -#2WTC, 82F. I had just changed jobs and moved to midtown. Watched it live from 50th/6th and lost 19 people I knew/worked with/cared about, some of whom I had lunch plans with that day.

I’ll spare you the longer tale this year. 24 years. That’s incredible to me. Meredith worked at 7WTC (& then evacuated to 2WTC!); I worked at Radio City/30 Rock (but made my way down to work on the Pile at Ground Zero most of the day.) We reunited at 6pm that evening on the Queensboro Bridge.
