Still. It's a hard thing as a mother to find only in adulthood that you have failed your child.

in the mid 2ks i deleted a ton of deviantart stuff because the places i was starting to hang online would have torn me apart and i was dangerously insecure about it. remains one of my larger regrets as someone who presently cherishes looking back on any art i have from those days

I got really into researching clear coats and decided against 2Ks because isocyantes are very toxic without a proper shop and in the process found a very nasty forum post.

my least favorite memory of the early to mid 2ks art website world is getting your work redlined or strictly critiqued out of nowhere by weird strangers or someone with specific beef that wanted to get away with negging you in a way that was "just offering crit :V"
