So those £36million 'donations' to Reform UK were actually speculative investments ...

"Apparently extreme wealth is hopelessly illiquid when society asks for a relatively small contribution towards the country’s infrastructure and public services…
…but remarkably liquid when there’s a *political party* you’d quite like to have £36million"

Calling all tech bros and crypto billionaires. Worried that your ‘no strings attached’ £36million pound donations might have to be returned? Why not donate to the @themerl.bsky.social instead?

Where are the missing 36million votes from nov5th?

I have no idea what that even means because we just passed 36million accounts a couple days ago.

Now it's two billionaires giving a donation of £36million each bringing that total to £72m with quite possible more to donate as well.

The UK Government needs to put in emergency laws to limit this.

Nothing says ‘man of the people’ more than getting a £36million donation from a cryptocurrency billionaire. #r4today

It's wrong enough that anyone should have £36million spare cash. It's totally undemocratic that one person should have so much power over all our lives.

The $20M in free PSAs or advertising almost certainly runs afoul of election law.

I can’t think why Ben Delo,a cryptocurrency billionaire wants to give Nigel Farage,a cryptocurrency promoter £36million for Reform party funds. #r4today

Labour Party came about as a result of the unions in 1906 in order to influence and protect workers. I don’t see how a 36million donation from a convicted fraudster is the same.

We can see how the US is being plundered by these minority self-interests. The UK is their next target for asset stripping. £36million is a small price to pay in return for access to the UK Treasury. They need to be stopped.

All the normal working men down my local pub are giving each other £36million every now and then.
They definitely never expect anything in return.

It's all totally fine.

Farage can't buy his way out of the scandals he and Reform UK are drowning in, or the multiple police investigations that are ongoing into Reform’s dodgy finances.

No amount of money will get rid of the stench of sleaze coming from Reform – the public can smell it.

It would take quite a bit more than that, perhaps £36million, for me to vote for Reform.

my husband had to trailerize that song for some movie a few months back and it is a beautiful song absolutely ruined by hearing it approximately 36million times over the course of a week 😂

So to recap:

1. Trump buys a property for ~40million(?) (somewhere >36million)
2. Instantly turns it around to list it for $125 million
3. Eventually sells it to Russian oligarch Ryobovlev for $100 million

Kind of a neat way to get ~$60 million for no reason at all.

That profit is sparkling clean

£36million?!

I don't think anyone would donate that kind of money to a political party and expect nothing in return.
