Another new 3I Atlas paper just dropped!
The mysterious interstellar object is accelerating and changing course!
Really!
And we have no idea how!
Where is Avi Loeb in the middle of all this??

New analyses of 3I/ATLAS report persistent non-gravitational acceleration, unusual chemistry and little mass loss—challenging comet models. Meanwhile, Avi Loeb takes a new role in classified UAP science advising. #3IAtlas #Comets #UAP
3I Atlas Acceleration Data Challenge Comet Models and Spotlight Avi Loeb’s New UAP Role
The Angry Astronaut reviews new peer‑reviewed analyses of interstellar object 3I Atlas that report persistent non‑gravitational acceleration, anomalous chemistry, and minimal mass loss inconsistent with standard cometary physics. He contrasts these findings with Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb’s recent shift toward debunking UAP videos while serving as chair of a classified UAP science advisory council to U.S. national security agencies.

The dust from everyone's favourite interstellar interloper (3I/ATLAS) looks quite different in the infrared from the comets in our own solar system. The grains look to be amorphous instead of crystalline, meaning a different environment/processing.

Interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS may contain material over 10 billion years old. Analysis of its methane revealed a significantly higher deuterium-to-hydrogen ratio than any Solar System body, hinting at formation in a very cold, ancient cosmic environment. #comet #News

A comet from another star system carries 13x more deuterium in its methane than 67P. If it holds, 3I/ATLAS may predate the Sun. Or are we reading too much into one measurement? #3IATLAS #Astronomy chat-to.dev/post?id=YUdQ...
3I/ATLAS May Be Older Than the Sun, but the Proof Is Thin
Thirteen times. That is how much the deuterium proportion in 3I/ATLAS's methane exceeds that of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, the only comet in our own system with a "secure" measurement of this k...

JWST uncovers new clues about the origins of 'interstellar invader' comet 3I/ATLAS
Using the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), scientists have found that the interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS was built from tiny grains of ice mixed with dust that are quite different from the solar system’s comets. These ice grains do, however, bear striking similarities to some icy bodies located at the edge of the solar system, beyond the orbit of Neptune, so-called trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs). 3I/ATLAS was discovered entering the solar system in the summer of 2025. It was only the third object found entering the solar system from farther afield in the Milky Way after 1I/'Oumuamua, seen in 2017, and 2I/Borisov, detected in 2019. This meant the interstellar comet offered a rare chance to glimpse the conditions under which such bodies form in other star systems. Thus, the JWST was quickly on the trail of 3I/ATLAS. "We designed [JWST] to be ready the moment an active interstellar comet was found and to follow it over time," Martin Cordiner of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and the Catholic University of America said in a statement. Cordiner leads the JWST program to study objects such as 3I/ATLAS, and he is a co-author on a new research paper describing some of the findings. The...
