I have been sober since nineteen eighty four. Been in therapy and AA for most of it. Kicked a 3litre a day diet coke addiction a month ago. Suicide attempts and two weeks in a psych ward. If I get to heaven I am going to kick Gods arse over the Pearly Gates.

Almost everyone was much slimmer then. Watch any film or TV show from the time. More manual work, far fewer cars so more walking, food was real and more expensive and you couldn't but 3litre bottles of soda.
