It's interesting that this existed as a single-generation device in the transition from PC VR to standalone. I wonder what portion of Meta thought 3DOF was good enough vs. those that just wanted to wait for 6DOF on Quest.

I bought the Xreal One, so I'm going to experiment to see how well I can integrate it into my daily use.

I think you can still do 3DOF-gameplay-with-6DOF-headsets, but you really wouldn't want to make 3DOF an actual physical constraint: not reflecting translation at all in a fully virtual environment will instantly make a sizeable part of the audience sick
