Yes this (and every bit of Ellie’s thread here).
When I lived in India and would speak to UK friends around this time of year I’d say “it was 48degrees outside today” and I’d get jealous/stop showing off responses. Instead of alarm for all life forms.

Oh and another thing: Australians are taught from a young age that the sun is dangerous (no ozone, melanoma everywhere), whereas in Britain we see it as a kind of rare beautiful bird that we only glimpse if we're really lucky. That's another cultural shift we really need to make here.

I would’ve welcomed 48degrees a few weeks ago. Nice for a little change. Lake Worth is a lovely town.
