SM 댄스 레이블 ScreaM Records, iScreaM 41번째 싱글로 ‘Blingy Remixes’ 선보여. SM 엔터테인먼트 산하 댄스 뮤직 레이블 ScreaM Records가 NCT 127의 곡을 새롭게 해석한 리믹스 싱글을 내놓았다. SM 아티스트 곡을 DJ와 프로듀서들이 재작업하는 리믹스 시리즈 iScreaM의 41번째 싱글 ‘iScreaM Vol.41: Blingy Remixes’가 9월 30일 발매됐다. 이번 싱글의 원곡은 데뷔 10주년을 맞은 NCT 127의 정규 7집 타이틀곡 ‘Blingy’다. ‘Blingy’는 지난 8월 발매된 정규 7집의 동명 타이틀곡으로, 디스토션 신스 사운드와 강한 드럼 비트, 챈팅 코러스가 어우러진 힙합 트랙이다. 레이지와 덥스텝 장르의 요소를 NCT 127만의 색깔로 해석해 폭발적인 사운드를 들려줬다. 정규 7집 ‘Blingy’는 발매 직후 아이튠즈 톱 앨범 차트 전 세계 26개 지역 Top 10에 올랐고, 국내 주요 음원 및 음반 차트 1위, 국내 음악방송 1위 등을 기록했다. 이 성과로 NCT 127의 글로벌 파워가 수치로 확인됐다. ‘iScreaM Vol.41: Blingy Remixes’에는 국내 댄스뮤직 씬에서 주목받고 있는 프로듀서들이 참여했다. 유쾌한 에너지와 독보적인 UK 사운드를 구현하는 프로듀서 듀오 rom&BAAWLA와, 국내외 트랩·베이스 뮤직 씬에서 주목을 받은 프로듀서 4URA가 각기 다른 스타일의 리믹스를 선보였다. 타이틀로 내세운 ‘Blingy (rom&BAAWLA Remix)’는 그라임과 정글 브레이크를 넘나드는 전개가 중심에 놓였다. 스피커를 뚫고 나오는 강한 킥의 첫 번째 드롭 이후, 엇박 그라임과 UK 베이스로 전환되는 두 번째 드롭이 이어지며 흐름을 바꾼다. 여기에 후반부 풍성한 서브베이스와 유포릭한 브레이크 정글이 더해져 NCT 127 특유의 ‘네오함’을 또 다른 결로 풀어냈다. 수록곡 ‘Blingy (4URA Remix)’는 베이스 뮤직 프로듀서 4URA 특유의 파괴력 있는 사운드를 전면에 내세운 트랙이다. 강렬한 신스와 묵직한 베이스가 원곡의 챈팅 코러스와 맞물리며 에너지를 끌어올린다. 폭발적인 트랩 사운드에서 정글 테러로 이어지는 드롭 전개를 통해 강도를 한계까지 밀어붙인, 페스티벌 플로어를 겨냥한 베이스 뮤직으로 새롭게 구성됐다. 원곡 ‘Blingy’가 레이지와 덥스텝 요소를 기반으로 한 힙합 트랙이라면, 두 리믹스는 UK 사운드와 트랩·베이스를 활용해 리듬과 질감을 다르게 가져간다. 이를 통해 정규 7집 타이틀곡의 핵심적인 에너지는 유지하면서도 리스너가 체감하는 분위기와 전개를 다른 방향으로 확장했다. Hi! Welcome to the 2016 Research Bazaar Global survey. From global organisations like Software Carpentry, Mozilla Science Lab and the Software Sustainability Institute, to local university departments like the D-Lab at Berkeley and Research Platform Services at Melbourne, there are many groups around the world dedicated to helping researchers improve their digital research skills. The purpose of this survey is to give those groups a clearer picture of their audience. What digital research tools are people using? How are they using them? Are there other tools they'd like to be using but don't have the skills, knowledge or time? With this information in hand, these organisations and departments will be better able to tailor their activities to the needs of the research community. The survey also doubles as an optional part of the application process for the 2016 Research Bazaar conference, so there's a few questions in there to help the conference organisers monitor the diversity of their audience (e.g. in terms of gender, geography, research institution, etc, etc). Some ResBaz sites might require this survey to be filled and therefore you'll receive an application code at the end of the survey that can be used at those ResBaz sites (Of course, you're still welcome to fill out the survey even if you're not coming to ResBaz!).
