Decals are poor, previous owner let them get damp I think. 10 mins in warm water and they were freed from backing paper

Marker lights refilled with Mr Surfacer - wet sanded after drying overnight. Looks better, need dry weather to re-prime.
Going for blue + red interior like this picture of real one recently up for sale.
Did get wheels painted this week too

Primer on, Mr Finishing Surfacer 1500 rattle can after sanding sponge preparation. Quite pleased with it so far, needs a bit more fettling and 2 of the marker lights I filled need redoing as they are 'ghosting' through the primer.

Chrome sprue stripped with bleach, will be easier to glue and hopefully look better when painted than the plastic shiny look, especially the wheels.

Completed cabin for the 512tr! You can't really see it well in the vid but I emulated a royal blue carpet for the floor and the rear shelf. Also one of the seat decals fell off in the building process never to be seen again (is it me or are old water slides hard to work with??). #scalemodel #car

TIL that the Ferrari 456 GT four-seater was as quick around Fiorano as the mid-engined, two-seat, 512TR. The 456 is heavier, taller and full of nice things.

IMO Hyperion is the best Ferrari color of that period. I have wanted a 512TR in Hyperion for years -- and if I can ever swing a 512TR I will respray it.
