I don't drive it as much as I should. But every time I do, the 540i is the best kind of palate cleanser. Pretty close to peak car.

These were really underrated. I test drove an ‘03 530i Sport and it was nicer to drive than the 540i due to the lighter front end and rack and pinion steering.
