#5debutalbumsSF Ride - Nowhere (1990) Shoegaze didn't leave too many indelible marks, for me at least, but this is certainly one of them. This, and the early singles battered you with a blizzard of noise that acted as a counterpoint to grunge. Vapour trail - what a tune. #NowPlaying

#5debutalbumsSF Mark Hollis - S/T (1998) This is a this beautiful and understated album. His long awaited solo debut exists in that half awake/half asleep state where jazz and folk meet in an ambient dreamworld. There is something otherwordly going on here. Special. #NowPlaying #VinylCommunity

Blimey! 3 in the top 25 #5DebutAlbumsSF with Gram top 50 and Ryan Adams not far behind. I must be getting a bit mainstream. 😂 Bring on SF2 and let’s see what happens. Thanks as always for all your efforts Richard and thanks everybody for such interesting lists (including some half-decent ones) 😂
