Part of what concerns me about this implementation is that it makes the LOTR RPG look like a clumsy adaptation of the #5eSRD rules, when its actually a pretty slick iteration.

There is already a narrative that emerges with every licensed 5e RPG that the game will be a poorly implemented game that's cashing in on the license, when there are several very well designed #5eSRD licensed games.

I really do like what I'm seeing the more I'm playing with @shardtabletop.bsky.social for the "test drive" campaign I'm setting up for Tales of the Valiant. It's got a robust toolset, and it's got a lot of quality of life implementations that make it more comfortable for running #5eSRD games.
@orikes.bsky.social and @whatdoiknowjr.bsky.social are back, and they're talking about VTTs! This time they're looking at the topic from the standpoint of what they have learned, and what they are looking at learning. Let's load the map and roll some virtual dice.
