@ us if anyone sees info for vigils for #DollyParton, here in Nashville or really anywhere.

Maybe the most logical location in town is Dolly's Songteller hotel, since it's a public place and wouldn't violate anyone's privacy. We'd imagine folks will also leave flowers at the Dolly mural at 5Spot.

It’s sad that so many feel a p/r tax of one-third of one percent on gross earnings is not supportable, but easily lay down a 5spot for a cup of joe, 7 bucks for a beer, etc.

This Friday at the 5 Spot. I figured out my costume for this event. The problem is, I think no one is going to get it. I need some gamers in the crowd. #diymusic #nashville #5spot

The nemophila 5spot are bringing hoverflies into the polytunnel. Who needs horrible toxic sprays when you can just fill hanging baskets with flowers instead 🌱

Spring Anticipation!

Looks like today is about purple.

All of these are in my seed orders, so I haven’t necessarily grown most of them yet. Sources and details in alt text, as always.

🌺🌱❤️
Bearded Iris "Get Back.” White ruffled standards and t falls with a golden-amber base. Beards orange and strong, sweet fragrance. She’s real pretty! Photo from the Iris Encyclopedia: https://wiki.irises.org/TbFthruJ/TbGetBack Dahlia “Chilson’s Pride.” A pink and white informal decorative with kind of loose and slightly ruffled petals. She’s not rare or hard to find, but she’s very pretty in a sort of soft and classic way. I’m excited to add her to my gardens! Photo from Connells: https://connells-dahlias.com/products/chilsons-pride Nemophilia “Penny Black.” Kind of an inverted Five-Spot, with almost black-purple petals edged in white. It’s not really a cut flower, as it’s almost a ground cover, only up to about 6” tall with flowers that are less than an inch across. I love it. Phot from Hirt’s Garden: https://hirts.com/penny-black-20-seeds-200-mg-nemophila/ Poppy “Lilac PomPom.” Fluffy and almost pink it’s a great texture and just a cheerful addition all around.
