Two caped/cloaked figures (one with a pointy hat) emerge from a rift. Text Box: Magic & Sorcery: Everything suddenly slots into place when you behold them. Even without the knowing smiles, their aura speaks for itself. What wonders – what horrors – they must have conjured prior to this whole debacle, what powers they must possess. Only they could be behind something so grand and fantastical. You want to ask them why, to ask them how, but if you know anything it’s that these sorts of people never reveal their secrets.

An ambiguous shadow emerges from a rift. Text Box: You’re sure there’s already a surplus of pretentious arseholes in here today but the multiverse has been saving one apparently. You’re sure most people have met one of his ilk – so in love with his own research, fostering a cult of personality about himself, and marking down students for not writing to his own bias. He surely thinks himself the smartest in any room he walks into, and the most infuriating part is that, in far more cases than not, he probably is.

A pair of ambiguous shadows emerge from a rift. One appears to be wearing headphones with some kind of animal ears. Text Box: A deep sense of kinship resonates from you at the emergence of this pair. You can exactly picture how they’ve ended up here, their experience likely mirroring their own – bar of course the absence of several hundred (or possibly thousand) viewers in your case. You probably would have supported them yourself if you were from the same universe. Given, one of them does look a little like he’s just crawled out of a relative’s basement but wouldn’t you if you worked from home?

An ambiguous shadow emerges from a rift. Text Box: Stately does not do it justice. The waistcoat alone is a masterpiece of embroidery. Wrapped in layers of fine wool and silks, it’s easy to see that he’s been interrupted in the midst of something important. That or the unavoidable wealth and privilege that would facilitate such apparel has coloured his perspective so completely that this is just how he reacts to any inconvenience. An unlikely prospect – subtlety and cunning are essential tools to navigating the ins and outs of a life like his, (at least if the period dramas you’ve seen are to be believed).

and ambiguous figure with scruffy looking hair under what appears to be a cap emerges from a rift: Text Box: It’s quite literally impossible for you to avert your all-seeing gaze but you try. Does… does he actually wear that out in public? Seemingly against your will your brain conjures images of him contorted into all types of positions, muscles glistening with sweat, cheeks flushed with exertion. It’s not good. It’s awful. Surely no one is hitting their goals with him around. You can absolutely see him as a “bunny” but it’s honestly a coin toss to whether it’s the type who guzzles protein shakes or if it’s one you’d find at the centre of a magazine.

Two obscured figures emerge from a rift. Text Box: This is likely not the kind of prize they’d hoped to receive for their performance. Performances? Bar one particular type of ceremony, it’s difficult to imagine the pair of them appearing on the same stage, let alone the same team. You can see it now, less of a heated rivalry and more carted-off-on-a-stretcher. You’re relieved they’re in different disciplines at least – better they argue over whose career path is a farce, than a single league try to contain two egos of this size.

A mysterious figure emerges from the rift. The text box reads: If you had tried to picture someone at home in this setting you’d be hard pressed to find a better candidate. He’s cautious, certainly, but his wide eyes speak of his wonder. You can almost hear the audio-log he’s doubtlessly recording, rapid-fire observations to be revisited for expansion and discussion once he’s safely aboard his vessel again. You can scarcely imagine all the places he’s seen, and what drives him to travel to far.

A figure with slicked back hair emerges from the rift. Text Box: No. This must be some cruel joke. Surely whatever force is responsible for this wouldn’t be this cruel? If you still had hands you imagine you might use them to wipe the entitled expression off the next emergent’s face. You can easily picture his day to day, or more accurately, the day to day of the people working under him; unreasonable requests passed down by middle management leading to mind-breaking deadline crunches and unpaid overtime. The only consolation is the thought that if he’s here, at least he can’t be tormenting his employees.

A picture of a rift in space-time Text Box: When the next rift opens, you feel inexplicably drawn towards it, like a kite being reeled in. In your attempt to edge closer, the space itself narrows around the tear, a nameless yet uncannily familiar tune emanating from it. Amidst the mounting pressure, two flashes of light burst from the collapsing opening and it abruptly closes. The near-magnet pull ceases instantly, and you’re unsure as to whether you feel relieved or robbed by it’s absence. Two hazy, shadowy figures emerge from the rift Text Box: Before your focus can be lost to rumination, a series of odd, flickering lights catches your attention. It seems the earlier burst were more than an anomaly a sort of energy. Two energies to be precise. You watch as they dance, flitting about each other like butterflies, their colours blending and separating and blending again. It's like watching a conversation, or listening to a harmony. Their joy and delight is contagious, and the distant stars seem to shine more brightly for it.

Monstrous looking silhouettes of Satoru and Suguru emerge from a rift. The text box reads: Impossible. The sight strains credulity, yet here they are, flowing from the rift like quicksilver. Their brine-soaked bodies are phenomenal – a seeming mismatch of parts navigating the space a gracefully as any apex predator. One of them carries a weapon, but you’re certain they could kill a human in a matter of moments with little more that their wits and raw strength. Disturbingly, you think a small part on you wouldn’t hate to see it.

Another shadowy figure emerges from another rift - he appears to have something in his hand with something rising from it - smoke? Steam perhaps? The text box reads: You can already feel how bad a day he’s had; a morning rush peppered with rude customers all whilst compensating for the lack of prep by the closing shift the day prior. Being transported into another dimension is probably just the icing on the cake. It’ll fit right in with the creamy, chocolate froth smeared on his trousers at least.

In front of a rift in the cosmos tow shadowy figures stand. Text Box Dialogue: - you’re suddenly glad your body didn’t make it. The void seems suddenly cold as *It* emerges. A wave of musty air follows, bringing to mind rooms left sealed and abandoned for far too long. It would fit in well there, hidden away like an old secret, waiting for some poor fool to stumble across the horror of the truth. The second figure to emerge is no such fool- limbs scarred yet steady with bitter determination when staring down his potential demise.
