A great album from The Jam with great tunes. Including Eton Rifles (here played on TOTP) which is as relevant now as it was back then. Will be in my #5albums70s1

Somehow I was expecting the vote to be next week, so there are a few albums I haven’t spun.
Seen plenty of votes for this one. Didn’t consider it a serious contender. Maybe underrated it a little.

Steely Dan, The Royal Scam
Still a couple of the short shortlist to play, starting with this one. Usually battling with Countdown To Ecstasy for my number one Dan spot.
All their USPs contained here and simply chock full of great songs.
Yes, there’s gas in the car..

Took a bit of a gamble with a very reasonable eBay copy and dropped on. Great pressing of a superb album.
Apart from Songs In The Key of Life, the only album in my collection with sides A/D on one record and B/C on the other.

Maybe not QUITE the magic of the debut but there’s very little in it. One hell of a groove. *disclaimer* I may change my mind before the vote.

Mrs H is away with work tomorrow so I’m cooking a Sunday roast this afternoon.
These three beauties lined up. Not certain how I order them let alone whether they get a spot in my five.

Kraftwerk, Radioactivity
The four album run from Autobahn is some of my favourite music of the decade. Unique, endlessly influential and brilliant.

Great to see three great and different (non Marley) reggae albums on the list.
A very strong contender for my five here. Great vocals and songwriting and a magnificent Perry production. Flawless.

One more before the footy. At least a couple of Al’s incredible 70s run I prefer but you can’t go wrong with any of them. Top drawer.

My pick of Gram’s pair. A really strong contender. Gram & Emmylou. Be still my beating heart 💙

Two of my favourite three albums by an all time favourite artist. As good as a shoo-in as it is going to get with this stellar list. Could easily choose both but will only go with one. It’s a tough call.
