Today’s the day! I’ll be at 613flea (Aberdeen Pavilion in the Glebe) from 10am-4pm! And I’ll have a whole bunch of birds with me, including a big flock of warblers to honour the first day of spring!!

I don’t know if I have many Ottawa-based people here, but just in case, I’ll officially announce that I’m tabling at 613flea this Saturday (Nov 15, 10-4) at Aberdeen Pavilion!! I’ll have all kinds of critters & mugs & etc, with some sneak peeks of new stuff coming tomorrow once the kiln is cool!

Thanks to the rain yesterday I once again did my photos at the last minute (fuelled by some incredibly strong cold brew!), BUT it’s outdoor/garden photo time again & that made it a little more fun 👍👍👍 Come Observe these Guys (& more) at 613flea tomorrow (May 16)!!!

Had a looooong working Sunday today, but!! I finished up a bunch of guys including these two funky weirdos (well, they still need a coat of clear glaze, but close enough) & will have them at 613Flea this coming Saturday (May 16th, more on that very soon) 👍

I got into my first local market for next weekend (613Flea at Aberdeen Pavilion for any Ottawa folk) & am trying my darndest to get a quick batch done. Pease wish me luck as I enter THE GLAZING FRENZY (everything has to go back in the kiln by Thursday!! Eek!!!).
A wooden desk with a bunch of trinket plates being glazed. Each plate has a little swan in the middle & the glazes are various colours — reddish, lavender, and light pink. They all have chunky crystals because I’m going fancy on these!

I worked at Lansdowne for 7 years, was a Redblacks STH for 5 and my family regularly visit the farmers market, 613flea, etc

I was also part of the delegation at city council in 2010 that argued in favour of 1.0, check the minutes

Our anniversary Saturday was quite a delight, from a nice morning at 613flea (cookies! patties! dresses!), to a delicious dinner (thali!), and local theatre (Kimberly Akimbo!), had a lovely day marking ten years!
My partner Kathleen, a woman with dark brown hair, a melon cardigan, and purple dress with a tea party print, sitting across the table and out of focus with her mango juice because I had focused on my lime mint rickey. Vegan thali plate that I had begun to eat, but then remembered to make a photo of ("for posterity!") before I got too far. Audience members begin to fill the Ottawa Little Theatre for the last night of a play called Kimberly Akimbo.

On my way to 613flea and just walked by an impressive line up for the grand opening of this bookstore in the Glebe. It would be interesting to know how many walked, biked or took public transit to get there.
