Europe had 6GWs of compute, the plan is to triple that by 2030. Germany decommissioned 20GW of nuclear energy since 2005. Technically, some of that can be restarted and the issue of power can be solved just like that. It might even be cheaper than solar, but that math needs to be double checked.

How much of this is down to Denmark’s small size and the amount of renewables already on the grid? If a CFD is the answer then would Denmark realistically be willing to offer 6GWs worth CFD? This feels like a warning sign of challenges the bigger markets will soon face.
