TIL that Eric Carmen borrowed/quoted from Rachmaninoff's 2nd symphony for one of his schmaltzy 70s-dreck hits.

surprise surprise surprise - was in and out in about an hour, and with so much less pain that I think I can start eating again. and I brought some call-for-scores recordings to evaluate so I was able to tune out the #70sDreck

I'm amazed how distracting music - even bad music - is. Despite the Bluetooth headband delivering a podcast directly to my ears, the ambient (and very loud) 70s dreck takes up a big chunk of my attention.

NP: I just want to be your everything
