Just took the back off my Dell Latitude 7340 (kindly donated by @thevarietyshow.channel84.co.uk) as it wasn't charging.
As with many Android Tablets I've had, if residual charge in motherboard > charge on the battery, it won't charge.
Disconnect battery, hold power for 30 secs to fix the problem.
