My fourth unfinished project - 7mm standard gauge ironstone dumpcar. Built in brass after a day at Rutland Railway Museum photographing and measuring one of theirs, it works like the real thing. I need to make axel-boxes and find some suitable wheels. #ogauge #7mmscale #bsmrguk

Back in the early 2000s I was busy in 7mm O gauge scratchbuilding ironstone quarry locomotives. S&L 34 was built from works drawings but stalled because I couldn't find suitable dome or chimney. Would anyone out there be able to 3D print them?

Another project revisted whilst on cat care duty, This parts bin Class 14 'Teddy Bear' Part DJH/Minerva/Scratchbuild. Canon EN22 motor, ABC gearbox, Zimo chip with ice cube speaker mounted beneath exhaust stack.

Part 2 of my "Projects I Never Finished" series is 7mm scale Peckett 2029 S&L number 87, built from measurements taken directly from the prototype. This was a metre gauge system so wheels/axels were an issue. Probably my most detailed project.

A little p-way hut made from coffee stirrers topped with P1200 grade sandpaper in strips to mimic a felt roof. Door and window frames from 1.5mm L angle with 1mm battening for inner window frames. Glued onto clear acetate using canopy glue.

Heljan Class 24 Dummy leant to Eastfield for the weekend. Transfer for doors is a massive disappointment for this scale and the price tag.
