#95RPM
Either 95rpm cadence is not what I thought it was when I was a 30-something-yo kid on a fixie, or this thing thinks I've got a 26in wheel. How does it know how fast I'm going (is that what the Location permission was about), or does it just measure the crank rpm? There's no settings for the […]

Well the app refused to believe that bluetooth was enabled on the tablet. Somehow I seem to have used it successfully via the chromebook, to enable automatic shifting. I'm trying 95rpm, but then maybe sometimes I want a higher cadence and sometimes more casual. That's where the bike needs a knob […]

And I found a new gear at the gym. I can do 65mins of level 9 resistance (maxes out at 16) on the elliptical averaging 88-90rpm and can sustain a 95rpm sprint for 2-3mins.

This time last year I was struggling to maintain 86rpm for 65mins. I was feeling it at the 40min mark.

Progress!

Just learned that the rock guitar sample from Rap Snitch Knishes is dave matthews covering space oddity sped up to 95rpm. MF you were dipping in some freaky wells, that is obscene. 100% sick

#30kmBikeChallenge: L7 #95RPM Cafence - enjoyed this tonight at a comfortable pace & effort. No pressures just a training ride.

#30kmBikeChallenge: Level9 & pushing it. Was like riding up a hill constantly without slowing down. The cadence was #95RPM average so was a challenge to keep going. Still pleased with results and effort.

The motor RPM, for now, is just assumed based on specification (For 60Hz it should be 1800RPM)

When I try to derive it out from all of my best-measured factors, the implication is that it is running about 95RPM faster than that. All to give me a slightly(but audibly) slow platter, at ~32.7RPM

Same day, weather conditions, 25km distance, gear ratio, cadence (95rpm) and speed (29km/h). The calorie burn for the Aeroad (road bike) was 440, vs 512 for the Grail (gravel bike). This is obviously unscientific AF, but still interesting. I figured the road bike would be easier, but ... damn.

I just went the opposite! Tired of doing 120+ rpm on my 48x17 when wanting to go fast, I've been experimenting with 48x14 (92 gear inches) where my happiest cadence (~95rpm) yields 26mph. Wonderful with no headwinds or large "hills" (anything >Marshall hill) but falling below 15mph sucks (55rpm).

yes but as I said at the time, the increase in speed is not for free..you always tend to the preferred frequency, say 95rpm..this is 9.95 rad/s X 170mm (old Jonas crank)..to compensate the 1cm difference (160mm now), you would need to span 10.6 rad/s, which turns out to be 6rpm more..it's enormous!

I'm around 200 at the moment (I want to be 185, but that ship might have sailed) and I'm a spinner. 90-95rpm is my zone.

Even then, I stretch a chain in 2000 miles. 😕

Today's monster effort by Gaffu. He started with 103rpm and finished with 95rpm (if the strava numbers are correct)

Rest day efforts by Martinez / Aleotti

Ben Swift also strong

30 minutes out then turned around, letting my legs fall into their 85-95rpm no thought effort zone, focused on my HR and forgot bout speed.

My 220-age max HR is 175, so spending almost the entire activity above 90% of my max is a good sign for my cardio in general.
