it took me a century to settle on sho's enneagram but I think he's an example of an unhealthy 2 bc unhealthy 2s act like 8s. whereas shenzo is an actual 8. for a long time I thought sho was a 9, likely 9w8, bc again he behaves like an 8 sometimes. but there's no way he's a 9.

Determining sho's ennea has been the death of me but I think his tritype is 2w1 (fixation on being loved by shenzo + weird moral preoccupation) 8w9 (control freak too assertive/aggro to be 9w8) 6w7 (abandonment issues but optimistic & fun loving)

Sometimes I wonder if I'm 9w8 rather than 9w1 precisely bc I’m not out of touch with my anger (on the contrary, I always feel it), but 9w8s are more inclined to engage in conflicts if they must, whereas I am essentially purely avoidant, the second someone makes me feel bad I flee.

enneagram also has more specificity than a single type. for example, you could be either 9w1 or 9w8--a 9w1 is more peaceful and even more conflict avoidant than a type 9w8. you may have a primary type but still feel more in touch with a different type in the same emotional triad.
