"Have you seen the news?" Dad is very upset. Turns out the A358 dual carriageway's been cancelled.
They've literally been in a cave for six weeks, haven't plugged the TV back in and the only paper they've bought is the West Country Gazette.
I envy them.

Barn Owl over A358 nr Ilminster 7pm. Direction it came from, it had prob just flown over my garden. Good to know my local ones are still around.

DfT’s budget will fall by -2.5% next year but we will have to wait until the dept’s review of capital funding is completed to know the implications. If cuts fall on poor value road schemes then a reduced budget could still deliver significant improvements in people's experience of getting around
