An actual presenter on ABC702 Sydney just said “can Australia survive the retirement of Ariana Titmus”* and my god woman, yes I think somehow the Federation will survive this. The language we use for sportspeople in this country is fucking gross.

I'm in NSW, and since Sarah MacDonald was removed from her fabulous morning show on ABC702 and replaced by Hamish McDonald ( already well used on RN ) the number of female announcers is almost zero. Beginning to believe the decision makers really dislike women.

I am fed up with hearing about Jo Haylen’s trip to a winery.

She paid back the cost - and most probably didn’t have to. She’s a hard working politician who is doing a lot of good work.

A male caller to Hamish McDonald on ABC702 last week circled around the economic/racist arguments, being challenged by Hamish, until he got to his main reason for strongly supporting ON : gun ownership, and her support. This man was from the NSW central coast. Scary.

ABC702 had a couple of callers who made excellent points this morning. One noted that Mr Dutton had a big policy for nuclear power which has not been aired in recent weeks.
My observation - he's big on culture wars, but hopeless on policy and unity.

I'm really beginning to believe that decision makers at the ABC are very anti-female. In Sydney ABC702 has lost all its fabulous female daytime presenters. Now, despite probably having at least half the listeners being women, it's wall-to-wall male presenters all day.

Sarah Ferguson was quite complimentary on ABC702 Sydney - mornings with Hamish today - apparently James Patterson is "one of the most thoughtful, intelligent, certainly one of the most coherent speakers in the liberal party .... When he speaks... people pay attention" 🙄

Turned on #ABC702 Sydney radio news for first time in years, 5 minutes on TC Alfred, then a story on some sheepdog trials, then weather. That was it. Why would anyone bother?
